These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Letter Brew. By creating an account or using our site, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Who Can Use Letter Brew

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Letter Brew. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that the information you provide to us is accurate and not misleading.

You may not create an account on behalf of another person, impersonate another person, or misrepresent your identity, age, or intentions.

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate an account if we reasonably believe that a user does not meet these requirements or has provided materially false or misleading information.

2. What Letter Brew Is

Letter Brew is an introduction service for adults looking for pen-pal friendships. We connect people based on the interests, personality, communication style, and preferences they share with us. Applications and proposed introductions are reviewed by a real person on our team.

Letter Brew is not a dating service, background-check provider, identity-verification service, or professional matchmaking or counseling service.

Human review means that a member of our team reviews the information provided by an applicant and considers whether an introduction may be a thoughtful fit. Human review does not mean that we independently verify a user's identity, background, character, intentions, or personal circumstances.

We do not guarantee that any match will result in a friendship, particular level of compatibility, frequency of contact, or lasting relationship.

3. Account Security

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.

4. User Conduct & Safety Guidelines

To help keep Letter Brew respectful and welcoming, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or abuse another user.
• Send unwanted sexual, romantic, or otherwise inappropriate content.
• Use hate speech or target another person based on a protected characteristic.
• Impersonate another person or intentionally misrepresent your identity, age, or intentions.
• Solicit money, financial assistance, gifts, investments, or donations from another user.
• Use Letter Brew to scam, defraud, manipulate, or exploit another person.
• Use Letter Brew primarily to promote a business, product, service, or commercial activity without our permission.
• Share another user's personal information without their consent.
• Publish or distribute another user's private correspondence without their permission.
• Send malicious links, malware, or content intended to compromise another person's device or account.
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or gain unauthorized access to Letter Brew or another user's account.
• Use Letter Brew for any unlawful purpose.
• Create another account to evade a suspension or permanent ban.

We may investigate reports of conduct that violates these guidelines. We may remove content, restrict communication, suspend accounts, or permanently terminate accounts when we reasonably believe that these Terms or our safety guidelines have been violated.

Where appropriate or legally required, we may cooperate with law enforcement or other relevant authorities.

5. Reporting a Problem

If you experience harassment, threats, inappropriate conduct, suspected fraud, impersonation, or other behaviour that violates these Terms, please contact us at letterbrew@gmail.com.

When appropriate, we may review relevant information, take action against the account involved, or provide information to authorities where required or permitted by law.

We cannot guarantee a particular outcome from a report, but we take reports seriously and may take action to protect our community.

7. Physical Mail and Offline Interactions

Letter Brew does not control the delivery, handling, or security of physical mail exchanged between users.

If you choose to exchange physical mailing addresses with another user, you do so voluntarily and at your own discretion. Letter Brew is not responsible for lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, or intercepted mail.

Letter Brew does not arrange or supervise in-person meetings between users. If users independently choose to meet offline, they are responsible for making their own decisions about whether, when, and where to meet.

8. Plans, Payments & Subscriptions

Certain Letter Brew features require a paid subscription. The price, billing frequency, included features, and applicable taxes will be shown before you complete your purchase.

By purchasing a subscription, you authorize our payment provider to charge the payment method you provide for the applicable subscription fees.

Unless otherwise stated at checkout, subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You may cancel your subscription through your account or by contacting us before the next renewal date.

Cancelling a subscription prevents future renewal but does not necessarily entitle you to a refund for amounts already paid, except where required by applicable law or as described in our match guarantee below.

We may change our pricing or subscription offerings from time to time. Any material changes affecting an existing subscription will be communicated before they take effect where required by law.

You are responsible for providing accurate billing information and keeping your payment method current.

No Match Guarantee

We don't guarantee that you will be matched with a pen pal. Matching depends on finding someone our team believes may be a thoughtful fit, and that isn't always possible right away.

If you've purchased a plan and our matchmaking team is unable to identify a suitable match for you, you may choose either a full refund for that match cycle or to have your profile carried over into our next match cycle at no additional charge. 9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Letter Brew is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any match will be safe, compatible, or successful.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Letter Brew and its team are not responsible or liable for the conduct, safety, or offline actions of any user, including anything that happens as a result of a match or correspondence made through our service. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Letter Brew, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Letter Brew harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your interactions with another user.

12. Intellectual Property

The Letter Brew name, logo, and site content are owned by Letter Brew and may not be used without our permission. You retain ownership of anything you submit to us, but grant us a license to use it as needed to operate the service (for example, displaying an anonymized testimonial you've agreed to share).

13. Termination

You may stop using Letter Brew and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or the safety guidelines above.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll post the updated Terms here with a new effective date. Continuing to use Letter Brew after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
